I bought a set of six cute penguin-like dryer balls to help me properly dry five pieces of my favorite outdoor clothing which I had laundered. I, personally placed the clothing and all six dryer balls into the dryer, in fact I counted them as I put them in, and about 50 minutes later I alone removed the perfectly dried clothing and only five dryer balls. One was missing.
I checked in inside of the dryer, but there was no other dryer ball. I checked the pockets and the sleeves of each item of clothing, but no dryer ball was stuck in any of the items I had washed. I looked inside the washing machine, but it was empty. Had it somehow bounced behind the washer or dryer? Nope. What about the floor or some corner of the laundry room? Not there. Did it roll into the kitchen? Not there either. The living room? No. Anywhere in the house? Nada. Outside? It was nowhere in the yard.
It has been a few weeks now and there has been no sign of the renegade dryer ball.
Dear Dryer Ball,
